RAPLAS is an interactive GPS/Music app which fuses the love of travel with rap music/culture. RAPLAS generates a customized playlist based on your location and destination. Rap artists are known to name-drop specific locations around the world as well as landmarks within the neighborhoods they grew up in. RAPLAS gathers data of “location keywords” mentioned in a rap song, along with an artist’s birthplace and generates a playlist based on your destination. The idea is not to reinvent GPS or music apps, but to integrate the act of travel and rap music to create an exciting and memorable user experience.
